Metrava privacy policy
Effective 15 August 2026. Publisher: XO Tools. This is the policy for the Metrava Android app on Google Play.
Who we are
Metrava is a pocket workshop that runs on this phone. There is no Metrava account and no Metrava server that stores your measurements.
What stays on this device
Calibration profiles (level, ruler, sound offset, frequency self-test), Piece Counter tallies you save, Frequency Lab tones you save, and a few tool preferences (for example PC Remote cursor gain). Magnifier freezes and AR frames stay in memory only and are discarded when you leave the tool.
What is not collected
Metrava does not collect your name, email, advertising ID, contacts, or a measurement history in the cloud. Nothing is sold. There are no ads in this version of the app.
Microphone
Frequency Lab and Sound Meter use the microphone only while those tools are open. Audio is analyzed live on this device. It is not recorded to a file and not uploaded.
Camera
Magnifier and AR Measure use the camera while those tools are open. Metrava does not save those frames to the gallery and does not upload them. AR Measure uses Google Play Services for AR (ARCore) on this phone.
Location
True North can use Android’s location service to apply magnetic declination. Network tools need location permission because Android hides SSID, BSSID and nearby access points without it. Metrava does not log or upload your coordinates.
Network
Core measuring tools work offline. If you open Network tools, this phone may: read Wi-Fi chipset RSSI; send a STUN request to learn the mapped public address of this path (not an ISP or city lookup); send ICMP, NetBIOS and a short TCP reachability list only on the Wi-Fi subnet you asked to scan; send ICMP Echo to a host you type (ping) or raise ICMP TTL (traceroute). Reverse DNS or a local HTTP title is used only to label a host you already reached. Those packets go to the network you chose. Metrava does not keep a copy on a server.
Bluetooth
PC Remote sends HID mouse and key reports only to the computer you pair. Nothing is uploaded.
Notifications
A playback notification appears only while a Frequency Lab tone is running in the background, so you can stop it. No other notifications are sent.
Delete your data
Metrava (publisher: XO Tools) does not keep your measurements on a server. To delete what this app stored on the phone:
- Open Metrava.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete all local data and confirm.
That removes calibration profiles, saved counts, saved tones, and local tool settings. Magnifier and AR frames are never saved. Network pings and scans are not stored by us. Camera, microphone, location, nearby-devices and notification access stay until you revoke them in Android settings. For questions: contact@esorion.com.
Children
Metrava is a workshop tool. It is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, this page and the copy in Settings are updated. The Play listing URL remains the public version.
